Experience Moon Festival with World Square & EASI

Everything you need to know about the annual Moon Festival and how to celebrate it with our restaurants and EASI at World Square.

Help us celebrate the annual Moon Festival in the best way we know how, by feasting with  close friends and family.

The Moon Festival is one of the most important traditional holidays in the Chinese lunar calendar and is determined by the equinox – the day of the year when day and night are of equal length.

Celebrated across Asia, Moon Festival traditionally involves outdoor cultural activities including lantern making, tea ceremonies, a lantern parade and fireworks.

Families also traditionally returned home to admire the full moon together while eating mooncake, which is a must-have sweet treat for this special festival. Mooncakes are usually filled with a paste made with red beans or red dates or filled with mixed nuts. A mooncake can also come filled with a bright yellow egg yolk.
