I BOOKED A FLIGHT IN THE NEXT 3 MONTHS. WHAT CAN I DO?
Our best advice is to contact the place you initially purchased it through, either the travel agent, website or the airline directly. Contact them with urgency if your departure is within the next few weeks as you will potentially have to wait a long time for a response as most companies have extremely long wait times on the phone or replying to emails. This will likely get easier as things begin to settle down. If you booked with an agent, including here at Flight Centre World Square, then you should be able to contact them any time. CAN I GET MY TRIP REFUNDED?
In some cases airlines, cruise lines and tour providers/hotels are offering refunds but this is happening less frequently. Instead, most of the world’s big providers and hotels are offering fee-free travel credits for future use. These are often being offered for travel over the next two or so months and generally will keep being extended to cover later dates, depending on how that travel is affected.
WILL IT BE FINE TO TRAVEL LATER IN THE YEAR?
At this stage, bookings are not affected in the latter half of the year. Travel companies, such as Flight Centre, are hopeful things will return to normal quickly. Most companies have fully flexible booking terms which will give you confidence to keep on booking your future travels.
